I haven't posted anything for a while because I was preparing for my son's wedding on July 10th. The wedding took place on Orcas Island at the Inn at Ship Bay. If you haven't been there, it is a beautiful place!

First they had a traditional wedding ceremony and then they changed clothes for a traditional Korean ceremony followed by dinner and dancing. I was asked to make lanterns for the tables and the guest book. That kept me busy right up until the day we left.

Foot in the Door

Every 10 years the Minneapolis Institute of Art invites artists from all over MN to submit one piece of art that must fit within one cubic foot. This year there were over 5,000 submissions. I went to visit and was able to find my piece (row 318, third from the bottom)! There is still time if you are nearby. The show runs until June 13th.

HealthEast Cancer Care's 9th Annual Conference

On Saturday I participated in the Hope Boutique at HealthEast Cancer Care's 9th Annual Many Faces of Hope Cancer Survivorship Conference. I brought my candle covers and lamps to sell. There were many wonderful people participating in the conference and I hope to be involved again next year.

Welcome to my new website!

I became interested in papercutting after designing a book that contained all cut pages. The papercutting evolved into designs for candle covers and now lamps. I have just started designing the lamps so check back often to see how my work is progressing.
